What can you expect with IGF-1 LR3 results?

The simple answer is a number of positive benefits, but along with those benefits comes a very real potential for negative results and side effects.

Before assessing results, or what to expect from the substance, a few questions are required:

What is it?

What can it do to promote bodybuilding or athletic performance enhancement efforts?

Is it safe?

Keep reading to learn more about the form of insulin-like growth hormone.

IGF-1 LR3 Results

IGF-1 LR3 results can promote:

Accelerated development of new muscle

Enhanced muscle growth

Rejuvenation of muscle fibers and tissues as well as other tissues in the body, including nerves

Increased metabolism, which also has the potential to trigger fat loss – weight loss is not extensive, and IGF-1 LR3 is not recommended nor particularly effective for individuals who are overweight or obese.

Immune system activity by enhancing white blood cell production

Inhibition of breakdown of proteins which cause muscle damage, decreased muscle strength, and loss of muscle tone otherwise known as cachexia

While IGF-1 LR3 results are generally positive, it does have the potential to cause negative side effects and reactions.

What is IGF-1 LR3?

IGF-1 LR3 is defined as a peptide hormone.

The IGF-1 stands for insulin-like growth factor-1.

The LR3 stands for Long arginine 3; sometimes also written L-Arg 3.

It’s a synthetically modified form of endogenous or body-produced insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), which is manufactured in the liver.

Why the modification? Pharmaceutical developments are continually advancing, seeking better, faster, and more effective ways to treat a number medical conditions while at the same time reducing the potential for side effects.

IGF-1 LR3 is an analogue of IGF-1. This means that it’s similar to IGF-1; with a modification.

It has an additional 13 amino acids attached to it over the number that insulin-like growth factor-1 naturally manufactures in the liver. This modification of the 13 amino acids is attached at the N terminus position along the amino acid chain.

What does that do? It has increased the potency as well as the bioactive or longevity aspects of IGF-1 in the body.

Endogenous or body produced insulin-like growth factor-1 is comprised of 70 amino acids. Most simply, the analog (LR 3) attached to insulin-like growth factor-1 or IGF-1 produces a longer amino acid chain by that addition of 13 additional amino acids, bringing the total to 83.

Amino acids are the foundation of development of protein. Protein is the primary building block for the proliferation of new muscle (and other cells in the body).

For bodybuilders, this means accelerated growth of new muscle cells, fibers, and tissues, over and above that of the potential of “regular” IGF-1.

In research facilities, IGF-1 LR3 results are achieved by accelerating the biological activities of IGF-1.

Brief Background of IGF-1

In order to achieve or least know what to expect in regard to IGF-1 LR3 results, some basic understanding of the hormonal process is required.

It starts with the pituitary gland, where growth hormone is manufactured and secreted into the bloodstream.

The pituitary gland receives its instruction to increase or decrease secretions of growth hormone by the hypothalamus, often nicknamed the body’s thermostat.

The pituitary gland is also responsible for the production, maintenance, and triggering secretions of other hormones in the body, including testosterone and IGF-1 from the testes and the liver respectively.

Growth hormone and growth factors like IGF-1 work together to promote growth and development of all cells in the body.

By modifying IGF-1, scientists have been able to increase the potential as well as IGF-1 LR3 results in regard to its efficacy, timeliness, and potency.

Through the modification, the half-life of IGF-1 has also been extended, which can range up to 30 hours. “Normal” IGF-1 has a very short half-life of a few hours.

What to Watch for in Regard to Side Effects

IGF-1 LR3 is typically a research compound. It is not intended for use by, nor legitimately sold to, humans.

Studies have been conducted on small animals (mice and rats, but no studies on overall IGF-1 LR3 results on humans). It is not legally available to the general public, but it is sold by a number of underground labs and black-market resources around the world.

While few studies exist on potential side effects of IGF-1 LR3 as an analogue of IGF-1, though more potent, side effects may be similar.

For example:

Potential for acromegaly

Disruption of hormone levels and functions that can affect a number of body organs and entire body systems.

Possible insulin resistance (insulin is a hormone that transports energy in the form of glucose to the body cells) which in turn may develop into Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Other side effects are also possible.

While IGF-1 LR3 results may seem impressive and tempting, it is not recommended that an individual with normal hormonal function use such a product due to the increased risk of negative side effects.
