What is Norditropin NordiLet (aka Nordilet)?
Is it a different type of Norditropin, a synthetically developed growth hormone?
Actually, Norditropin NordiLet® is one of several injection devices created by the manufacturer that injects Norditropin into the body.
The Norditropin NordiLet device was designed specifically to be used on pediatric patients, as well as adults who are squeamish of needles.
Its shape is similar to a magic marker.
Like other injectable Norditropin pen products, Nordilet has found popularity with bodybuilders who want to get more out of their work out routines with performance-enhancing substances.
About Norditropin NordiLet
Norditropin Nordilet is manufactured by Novo Nordisk.
Novo Nordisk is an international and well-known pharmaceutical manufacturer whose headquarters are in Denmark, although their facilities can also be found on five continents and in more than 165 countries.
Novo Nordisk focuses on growth hormone therapy, diabetes management, hormone replacement therapy, management of obesity as well as hemophilia conditions.
The company manufactures a number of growth hormone injection pens for easier administration of growth hormone, but not all are the same. Novo Nordisk produces:
The NordiLet pen device is a pre-filled, multi-dose pen that contains growth hormone. It does use short, fine needles that are invisible to the user.
The device is pressed against the skin for injection, and the needed is injected and retracted without the child or adult ever seeing the needle.
The reason that the pre-dosed and/or multi-dose pens were created was to make the administration of growth hormone for children easier, less stressful, and more precise.
The pre-filled and multiple dose pens simply require the user to dial in the dosage recommended by the physician prior to injection.
No mixing powders and bacteriostatic water, reducing risk or errors in measuring and dosing.
The dosage recommendations for Norditropin are based on weight, the condition being treated, ultimate treatment goals, and of course, on any development of side effects.
If side effects occur, dosages will be lowered or the drug will be discontinued altogether.
The NordiLet pen offers a 10 mg device as well as other devices to provide different milligram strengths or pre-measured dosages, but they’re not available everywhere.
For example, when using a 10 mg pre-filled pen-like device, the user would dial a specific dosage in the pen as indicated by their physician, usually a small dose every day six to seven days a week.
An average dose from a Norditropin NordiLet pen averages anywhere from 0.075 mg and up to 4.5 mg, although dosages are adjusted incrementally. A full syringe or cartridge is not to be taken all at once!
Norditropin NordiLet Cost
Cost of Norditropin NordiLet pen devices depend on where they’re purchased.
While most bodybuilders and athletes may find the devices easy to use, they are quite expensive.
Average cost of a 10 mg to 15 mg NordiLet pen can range anywhere from $800 and up to $1,200, with a prescription.
Without a prescription, bodybuilders or athletes might be able to find a Norditropin NordiLet pen device for sale.
But buying from an unregulated source runs the risk of purchasing an expired product, one that has been contaminated, or even counterfeited and containing unknown ingredients.
Growth hormone is one of the most commonly counterfeited products on the black market today.
About Side Effects
Any use of growth hormone can trigger a number of side effects and adverse reactions.
This is especially true for individuals using the drug without medical need.
Putting a hormone into the body that it doesn’t medically need can trigger a domino effect of disruptions of other hormone secretions and activities that affect multiple organ systems.
The most common side effects associated with Norditropin (NordiLet and other devices) – and even under medical supervision, include but are not limited to:
Headaches. Headaches can be severe and affect vision. In some cases, increased blood pressure inside the skull (intracranial hypertension) is a possibility. Warning signs include vision changes, nausea, and vomiting.
Edema – fluid retention is more than a mere nuisance. Fluid retention often causes swelling or bloating of the joints, the face, and the abdomen. However, fluid retention around major organs such as the heart can interfere with their function.
Disruption of thyroid hormone levels.
Interference with insulin secretions and function in the body. This can contribute to development of insulin and tolerance and if not treated, can potentially cause development of Type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Localized pain around the injection site, nerve and muscle pain, as well as joint stiffness are common complaints.
When using any form of growth hormone, whether it’s the Norditropin NordiLet device or a purchase of growth hormone in powdered form and mixing with some type of sterile water, use caution.
Even at lower dosage ranges and short-term use, growth hormone can trigger a number of long-term side effects and adverse reactions that can take months if not longer to get under control.
Before using the Norditropin NordiLet device or any other type of growth hormone delivery device, do your homework. As always, use caution when purchasing any form of growth hormone online and from foreign sources.
